Styling Guide

Hello and Welcome to create!

I’m so excited to work with you!

To help you prepare and feel your absolute best, here’s a simple guide with styling tips and a checklist for before the big day.

1. Clothing Tips

Keep it Simple: Solid colors work best. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or distracting prints unless we specifically discussed a bold look.

Choose Timeless Pieces: Go for classic styles that won’t feel outdated when you look back at your photos.

Coordinate, Don’t Match: If photographing with others, choose outfits that complement each other without being identical.

Bring Options: Bring 2–3 outfit choices, including different textures (knits, denim, cotton) for variety.

Fit Matters: Clothes that fit well (not too tight or too loose) always look better on camera.

Consider Necklines: Depending on the mood of the shoot, simple necklines (scoop, V-neck, or off-shoulder) often photograph beautifully.

Layer Up: Jackets, cardigans, and scarves add depth and variety.

Shoes Matter: Don’t forget about shoes if they’ll show! Clean, simple footwear works best.

2. Hair and Makeup Tips

Stay True to You: Aim for a polished version of your everyday look. Natural lively curls are great.

Professional Hair and Makeup (Optional but Recommended): It makes a difference, especially for close-ups.

Avoid Major Changes: Don’t try a new haircut or experimental makeup right before the shoot.

Touch Up Nails: Hands will likely be visible — neat nails (even natural) look great. Please avoid bright designs

Blot Away Shine: Bring powder or blotting papers if you tend to get shiny skin.

Men: A fresh shave or well-groomed beard looks sharp.

3. Skin Care and Preps

Hydrate: Drink plenty of water the day before and the morning of your session.

Moisturize: Well-hydrated skin photographs beautifully.

Sleep Well: A good night’s sleep really does make a difference.

Avoid Tanning: Natural skin tones photograph best. Tanning can cause uneven tones in photos.
